Yom Kippur
Location: Meach Cove Farms Gathering Space (Formerly known as All Souls Sanctuary) 291 Bostwick Farm Rd, Shelburne
Yom Kippur is the holiest day in the Jewish year. For us, this is a day of reflection, purification and reorientation as we turn inwards to do the work of teshuvah, or returning to your soul.
This year, we are planning a full day of services and other offerings at the beautiful Meach Cove Farms Gathering Space in Shelburne (formerly known as the All Souls Sanctuary). We’re thinking of this as a full-day, immersive retreat; join for as much or as little as you’d like.
A silent meditation will start at 9 a.m. Morning services will begin at 9:30 and go til noon. After that, we’ll offer a guided text study at 1:30 p.m and a sacred nap at 3 p.m. (with our gorgeous lullaby singers) in the afternoon, along with open time to rest and walk around the property. Evening services will start at 6 p.m., followed by a break fast potluck meal at 7:30pm.
Traditionally at this time we remember those who we have lost this past year. We invite you to bring an object or photo of a person or being to the Yom Kippur morning service to place on an ancestral altar where their memories and lives can be honored and uplifted. There will be time to share aloud at the end of Yom Kippur morning services in a memorial service, Yizkor.

Donate: Our events are free and open for all to attend. If you’re financially able, we’re suggesting a donationof $36 per person to help us cover the costs of renting spaces and printing prayer books.

Accessibility Notes: There is handicap parking available. The building is wheelchair accessible.
Kid Programming: We aim to have separate programming for youth at the Yom Kippur morning service.
Volunteer: We are looking for volunteers to hold roles reading traditional Hebrew liturgy and English readings. Sign up to hold a role here (coming soon).
