We know that we all have wisdom in many forms. In this community, we are all teachers and all learners. Many of us are experienced facilitators, herbalists, song leaders, activists, caregivers, chefs, artists, healers— all ancient roles that have helped hold what it means to practice Judaism in community. You can request many forms of support or care in this community. Let us know which of these supports you need (or which you’d like to help offer) by filling out the form here.

Gemilut Chesedim mutual aid, covenant of kindness!

Are you having surgery or welcoming a baby and could benefit from a meal train? Do you have an aging parent and need help with rides? We got you. (We got each other.)

Ritual support

Are you grieving a parent and sitting shiva? Do you need a minyan (group of ten) to say Mourner’s Kaddish (a special prayer) on a yarzheit (anniversary of death)?

Reach out.

Kehilla (sacred community)

Are there times you need extra grounding, to be heard, to be held space for? Want support processing a big life decision? We can show up for that!

Clergy Support

And, we understand that there are times when community members will desire clergy support.

We have a rabbi on our core team who can serve pastoral care needs.

R. Grace has a focus on movement chaplaincy: chaplaincy support for people involved in liberation, healing, joy and justice work. She is willing to provide front-line chaplaincy work, as are many other core leaders of our community.

She can also support through classic life cycle event support with rabbinic training (babies, weddings, funerals, births and beyond).

We also one on one, couples, and group rabbinic counseling; and more.

Learn more about those supports by reaching out to R. Grace at lchaimvt@gmail.com.

** A note on money/ costs: we are committed to cost not being a barrier for anyone. We are developing our organizational structure right now, exploring how to compensate folks for their time while also remaining accessible to everyone as a core value. Grace offers these services at a sliding scale. We’re figuring out how this will work as we develop as an organization— feel free to reach out if you need support!
